About Allison

Dr. Allison Reeves is a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist, registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. Allison earned her Master’s, her PhD and her Postdoctoral degrees at the University of Toronto. She provides a variety of diagnostic and assessment services, and has specialized training in providing trauma assessments for survivors of abuse,  immigration assessments for refugee claimants, and in conducting independent medical examinations. 

Allison is an Assistant Professor in Psychology at the University of Guelph and the University of Guelph-Humber where she teaches psychotherapy and forensic psychology courses.

In individual and couples therapy, Allison uses an integrative psychological approach that draws from Emotion Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, and Interpersonal Therapy.  

Allison's work as a psychologist and an educator focus on incorporating all aspects of health (mental health, emotional health, spiritual health, relational health, and physical health) into recovery and healing. She has supported clients through a variety of mental health challenges and difficult life experiences, including:
