About Madison

Madison (she/her/hers) is a graduate of the Masters in Couple and Family Therapy program at the University of Guelph and is a Registered Psychotherapist working with individuals (children/youth/adults), couples and families. She brings warmth, transparency, and compassion to the exploration of what brings folks’ to seek out therapy and their hopes moving forward.

Madison has experience working alongside people navigating a number of issues, including anxiety, depression, grief, anger, stress, gender identity, sexuality, relationship conflict and repair, parenting stress, communication & boundaries, life transitions, sex & desire, intimacy & trust, suicidality & self harm, and trauma-related issues. She utilizes Narrative, Solution-focused, Emotionally-Focused, and Dialogic therapy models. She approaches any issue with a deep commitment to collaboration, creativity and by centering client’s experience, and hopes.

Madison’s approach to this work is relationally focused, strengths based and rooted in anti-oppressive and trauma informed frameworks. She strives to cultivate a space that honours your inherent wisdom, skills, creativity and the relationships that have supported you in navigating life, while working to address your concerns and movement towards what is important to you. She understands that our individual experiences are influenced by larger systems, structures and social/historical contexts and strives to explore these relationships alongside you, with attention to issues of power, privilege and marginalization.

As a queer identified therapist, Madison brings personal and professional experience to working with folks within the LGBTQIA2S+; and is passionate about serving folks within this community.
